investors. Portfolios can be managed solely by Coastal
or we can customize and manage a multi-manager or
fund of funds portfolio for clients to their suit their
particular requirements and specifications.
Our Mission
We are dedicated to serving the needs of investors who seek
absolute investment returns that are not dependent upon the performance of mainstream
investment markets such as the share, bond and property
markets.
Our
approach seeks to maximize returns without increasing risk and to do
so on
a more or less consistent basis. We do not attempt to replicate
or outperform any stock market or other market-linked index, rather we
seek to deliver positive returns and stable performance across
all economic and market conditions.
To
achieve this objective, we actively manage investment and market risk
by entering into hedging contracts and by widely diversifying each
portfolio across investment opportunities which display excess returns relative to
any risks involved. We may also draw on the talents of other investment
managers who are able to add value to our clients by accessing
a wider range of opportunities than we are able to access and
who can provide diversification benefits that may
significantly reduce portfolio risk.
